Topical authority, explained simply
Topical authority describes how much a website is seen as a reliable source on a subject. It is an industry term, not an official value from Google or AI providers.
How it is usually built
Helpful content that covers a subject properly: a main page per core service and supporting content that answers real sub-questions, linked sensibly with each other and kept up to date. Google’s guidance asks for helpful, reliable, people-first content.
Context and limits
There is no official authority score and no fixed time frame. Updating content alone does not guarantee a mention.
No guaranteed visibility
Documented findings and checkable actions are one thing; promised rankings, AI mentions or revenue are another. Nobody can guarantee the latter.

How long does it take to build authority?
There is no general time frame and no official authority value. Helpful content and how it is used can be observed over a longer period.
Do I need a blog for it?
Not necessarily. Pages that answer real customer questions can do the same job.
